'Holiday Shoppe' is now 'Carlson Cares'

In keeping with our applied learning philosophy, and with feedback from Carlson teachers and staff, we are excited to announce 'Carlson Cares!'

In lieu of Holiday Shoppe where students purchased small gifts for their family members, students will now be hand-making gifts for people in need in the wider Fort Worth community. Some examples will be tied fleece blankets, painted flower pots, and cards for folks who may be isolated during the holidays at skilled nursing homes. There will also be a fun opportunity to sign up to deliver these gifts.

While we know this may be disappointing for some students who loved Holiday Shoppe, it will also serve as an invitation for students, themselves, to bring back Holiday Shoppe as a more studnet-led initiative next year if they feel so inspired. Thank you for your support as we try something new!
