Site-Based Decision-Making Team

 

What is sbdm in fwisd?

Site-based decision-making in the Fort Worth Independent School District is a process whereby a principal regularly consults the campus-level committee in the planning, operation, supervision and evaluation of the campus educational program. Education Code 11.253(h)

 

Purpose

The purpose of the site-based decision-making team in the FWISD is to improve the level of student achievement for all students in all schools.

 

Composition of sbdm team

SBDM Teams must have a minimum of fourteen members.  This core group of fourteen members shall be established annually, no later than September 1 of each school year, and will consist of: the campus principal, (1) campus-based non-teaching professional staff member, (1) district-level staff member, (2) community representatives, (2) business representatives, (3) parents, and (4) campus teachers.
