Important info for parents:

Club signup will begin Friday 12/13 at 6pm and will end when clubs are filled, or on Friday 1/3 at 6pm.

 

Students who attend Clayton will return to Clayton following their club time.

Students who ride the bus will need to be picked up by parents on these days.
All pickup (Unless otherwise noted) will be at the front of the school on W. Cantey Street.

Clubs do not run when school is not in session (holiday breaks/ intercession/ etc.).

 

 

Cooking club 

Grades 3-5 

(Limited to 20 Students)

 

Cost: FREE

Ignite your child's passion for cooking! Our 6-week cooking class, led by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is designed to teach kids from 3rd-5th grade essential kitchen skills. Each week we'll cover a different foundational lesson for cooking in the kitchen - from learning how to measure igredients, knife skills, reading a recipe, including making a delicious and easy snack!

Science Club brings the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History back for our kindergarten through second grade.  Creative Chemistry offers hands-on science and math activities. Students will use the scientific method and experiments to explore some amazing chemical properties and interactions in the world around us.

Cost: $80

per student

Yoga is a great way to help students develop focus, flexibility, and a sense of clam. Yoga poses can help students build strength and improve their balance, coordination and body awareness. 

 

Please bring yoga mats if you have them!

 

*Yoga skills are repetitive... if your child participated in the fall yoga class, similar things will be covered in the spring.

In Spanish Club, students will learn Spanish words and phrases in the context of fun, interactive stories. Games, activities, and songs will be used to praactice vocabulary. A spiral review is incorporated into all lessons to reinforce concepts.

texas ballet theater 

 

Grades 1-4 

(Limited to 40 Students)

 

Cost: FREE

 

 

Your student is invited to participate in Texas Ballet Theater's CityDance Program. This unique program is offered once a week for 5 weeks and includes the introduction of basic ballet training, French terminology, a history of ballet and current applications, and classical music education- all at no cost to you! The course is open to both boys & girls and no previous experience is required. Each CityDance student will receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a Texas Ballet Theater performance at Bass Performance Hall. Students will dance in their school attire, but will be asked to remove their shoes! No special clothing is needed!

Running Club meets every Wednesday after school and runs a mile around TCU. 

The Carlson Running Club joins the Cowtown C.A.L.F Program and if interested, students will train to run the Cowtown Marathon 5K in February!

The Knight School's philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine. Students will gather to learn new chess skills and play games of chess with each other.

Soccer Shots focuses on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for students to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Students will also be introduced to competition in a developmentally appropriate manner.
