Yoga Club (Grades K-2)

TUESDAYS | Session 1: September 8 - October 27

A playful, imaginative yoga experience where kids can move, breathe, play and learn tools to navigate big feelings. Each class is inspired by the beauty and energy of the seasons, bringing nature, storytelling, movement, music and mindfulness together.

Through fun yoga poses, games, breathing exercises, creative activities and moments of stillness, children learn simple ways to calm their bodies, regulate emotions, build confidence and connect with themselves and others. Come move, laugh, imagine and grow with us! Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Taught by Missy Shaw-Spinks, a Carlson parent. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.

FWMSH Science Club (Grades 3-5)

Join the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and learn how to think like an engineer with fun weekly challenges.

STEAM Club with Snapology (Grades K-2 & 3-5)

TUESDAYS | Session 2: November 3 - December 8 

Kinder -2nd grade: Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test in this hands-on STEAM variety series! Students will explore robotics, engineering, and themed activities as they build and program robots, tackle exciting engineering challenges, and design creative LEGO® builds. With a new challenge to explore each week, students will develop critical-thinking, teamwork, and STEAM skills while having fun! Maximum of 20 participants.

Grades 3-5: Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test in this hands-on STEAM variety series! Chess Club with The Knight School (Grades K-5)

WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS | Year Round

The Knight School Chess Team is back! Our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine.  In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess, their classroom, sports, and their home lives as well! Upon enrollment, new students receive a TKS T-Shirt, chess set, chess bag, and all the colorful TactixBands they can earn!

Maximum of 25 participants per day.

Spanish Club with La Puerta Spanish Center (Grades K-5)

THURSDAYS | Year Round

Children will learn Spanish words and phrases in the context of fun, interactive stories. Games, activities, and songs will be used to practice vocabulary and a spiral review is incorporated into all lessons to reinforce concepts. Students who participated last year are welcome to join Spanish Class again as all of the material will be new this school year. Led by La Puerta Spanish Center.

Soccer Shots (Grades K-3)

FRIDAYS | Session 1: September 11 - October 30

Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program that focuses on building character, skills, and confidence through fun, age-appropriate soccer activities. The program works on soccer skill development, fitness, and sportsmanship, introducing competition in a fun and appropriate way. No special equipment required.

Maximum of 28 participants.

Texas Ballet Theater CityDance (Grades 1-4)

FRIDAYS | Session 2: November 6 - December 11

Texas Ballet Theater’s CityDance Program brings the joy of ballet to children within our community. The program includes the introduction of basic ballet training, French terminology, a history of ballet and current applications, and classical music education — all at no cost to you! The course is open to both boys and girls and no previous experience is required. Students will dance in their school attire but will be asked to remove their shoes- no special clothing is needed. Each CityDance student will receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a Texas Ballet Theater performance at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth or Winspear Opera House in Dallas. CityDance is open to students in grades 1-4. A waiver must be signed after registration.

Maximum of 40 participants.
