Cooking in the Kitchen (Grades 3-5)

TUESDAYS

Ignite your child's passion for cooking! Our 6-week cooking class, led by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is designed to teach kids from 3rd-5th grade essential kitchen skills. Each week we’ll cover a different foundational lesson for cooking in the kitchen- from learning how to measure ingredients, knife skills, reading a recipe, including making a delicious and easy snack!

Maximum of 20 participants.

Duration:

January 13 - February 24 (6 weeks) | No class on February 10.

Yoga with Adrienne (Grades K-3)

TUESDAYS

Through playful poses, yoga games, and breathing exercises, students will build strength, flexibility, and balance. Each session will reinforce what was learned the previous week and we will build on those skills. Some imagination needed! Please bring a mat. Led by the former Carlson PE teacher.

Maximum of 18 participants.

Chess Club with The Knight School (Grades K-5)

WEDNESDAYS

A FEW SPOTS ARE OPEN ON WEDNESDAYS ONLY! 

The Knight School Chess Team is back! Our unique and unprecedented educational philosophy, "the chess party," is the perfect way to transform a complete beginner into a devastating chess machine.  In this kid-centered classroom environment, we teach our kids every cool trick, strategy, and tactic in chessdom and our kids soon learn to love and master chess, their classroom, sports, and their home lives as well! Upon enrollment, new students receive a TKS T-Shirt, chess set, chess bag, and all the colorful TactixBands they can earn!

Cost: $60/month

Spanish Club with La Puerta Spanish Center (Grades K-5)

THURSDAYS

THIS CLUB IS FULL.

Children will learn Spanish words and phrases in the context of fun, interactive stories. Games, activities, and songs will be used to practice vocabulary and a spiral review is incorporated into all lessons to reinforce concepts. Students who participated during the 2024–25 school year are welcome to join Spanish Class again as all of the material will be new this school year. Led by La Puerta Spanish Center.

Duration: Full Year | September 11 - November 21 & January 15 - May 14

Dance with Joy (Grades K-4)

FRIDAYS

Dance With Joy is a ballet inspired class using storytelling and imagination exercises to encourage dancing. These classes emphasize free expression, cultivate creative movement, promote discipline and allow children to explore improvisational dance with fun props and games. This is a universal program for both boys and girls!

Maximum of 18 participants.

Duration: January 16 - March 6 (8 weeks)

Science Club with FWMSH (Grades K-2 & 3-5)

TUESDAYS

Join a Fort Worth Museum of Science and History educator for 6 weeks of fun, learning through hands-on activities. 3rd through 5th grade will become crime scene investigators, learning about and using science to solve crimes. Kinder - 2nd grade will become mad scientists and have a blast doing a variety of experiments.

Maximum of 25 participants per group.

Soccer Shots (Grades K-3)

FRIDAYS

Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program that focuses on building character, skills, and confidence through fun, age-appropriate soccer activities. The program works on soccer skill development, fitness, and sportsmanship, introducing competition in a fun and appropriate way.
