Counseling Program

Hello! My name is Emily and I am thrilled to serve as your school counselor! This is my 12th year in education and 8th year in counseling. I truly believe that I have the best job in the world and love supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. I love the field of counseling and a few of my professional interest areas are: mindset, play therapy, healthy interpersonal relationships, empathy, grief and resilience. I love teaching students the power of a growth mindset and how to create and nurture healthy relationships with those around them. My role is not to solve problems, but to empower, encourage, and support your child in problem solving.

I am so excited to be a part of the Alice Carlson family and look forward to getting to know your family! I love spending time with my family, traveling, being outdoors, caring for my many indoor plants, running/cycling, and of course watching some Fightin’ Texas Aggie Football as well as our hometown Frogs!
