The Nominating Committee is responsible for ensuring all candidates for PTA positions for the 2026-2027 year meet the eligibility requirements and have expressed their consent to serve. The Nominating Committee considers all nominations and candidates wishing to serve and may seek additional candidates during its deliberations. After reviewing together all nominations and candidates, the Nominating Committee is responsible for voting and submitting to the PTA membership one name of recommendation for each PTA board position to be filled for the 2026-2027 year. Lastly, the Nominating Committee should be prepared to speak to the qualifications of the slated candidates in the event there is a contested election at the April 14, 2026 PTA Meeting.
The Nominating Committee is comprised of 3 volunteers and 1 alternate. This committee will be supported by the current Parliamentarian and the current VP of Parent Involvement. The Nominating Committee must prepare and present their report of recommended candidates to be shared at the April PTA Election Meeting held on April 14, 2026 at 8:00am.
To be eligible you may not have served on the Nominating Committee last year. The newly appointed committee will need to meet and elect a committee chair amongst themselves, and will be provided with the necessary tools to complete their duties by the Parliamentarian.
